Japan Lost Property Recovery Service
Lost something in Japan?
Let us find it and ship it back to you.
We contact railway, taxi, airport, hotel and shop desks in Japanese to help locate your item. Already found it? We can arrange permitted collection and shipping. Choose the stage you need below.
Check official free self-help first. We can make routine lost-property enquiries to police offices. Emergencies, crime reports, police collection, investigations, and other law-enforcement matters remain with official police channels.

Outcomes
Lost-property cases and call videos
Selected service records, not an overall success rate or evidence of a partnership with these facilities. Customer identity, contact details and reference numbers are not published.
Collected and shipped
Tokyo: iPhone collected and shipped to Canada
After the owner returned to Canada, her iPhone was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Lost and Found Center. We confirmed the phone with the center, prepared the proxy-collection documents, collected it in person and sent it to Canada by Japan Post EMS.
The September 25, 2026 service update confirms collection and dispatch; receipt in Canada had not yet been confirmed. Proxy collection depends on the individual case and the holder’s requirements.
Helped ship it back
APA Hotel Shinjuku: helped ship a MacBook Air back overseas
After returning to the US, the customer realized his MacBook Air had been left at APA Hotel in Shinjuku. We followed up with the hotel for reference details, traced its holding location after transfer to police, clarified collection documents, and helped ship it back.
About 34 seconds: asking the hotel for the reference number and checking the stay details.
The video shows the earlier reference enquiry; shipping assistance followed later.
Keisei Railway: passport holding station confirmed
The operator reported finding the passport at Narita Airport Terminal 2 Station and privately supplied the holding location and collection instructions.
Located and collection instructions confirmed; the record does not confirm customer collection.
After contacting airport, customs and police desks and clarifying identifying details, the operator reported a matching backpack and reference number. Follow-up covered owner collection, a friend collecting and domestic shipping options.
Search and collection follow-up are one case. The record does not confirm collection or delivery.
Item confirmed
Green hat: item confirmed and overseas-owner paperwork clarified
After the owner left Japan, we contacted the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Lost Property Center. Staff confirmed the hat was in their custody, checked its identifying features, and explained the lost-property report and proxy authorization documents.
About 1 minute: staff confirm they hold the hat. The document instructions came later in the same call and are not included in this excerpt.
Custody and document requirements confirmed; physical collection or delivery is not documented. This historical case does not promise that we currently collect from police offices.

料金
Choose Search or Full Service while the item is not yet located. Choose Pickup & Delivery only when a known office confirms it holds the item; release, collection and physical delivery are separate steps. Search and Full Service start with US$30. Delivery costs are confirmed separately. If your requested outcome is not achieved, all upfront payments are refunded in full.

+ Everything in Search Service
+ For an item not yet located; collection starts only after the holder approves release

Service fee covers search and recovery coordination. Shipping costs are confirmed separately before delivery; release and shipping restrictions still apply.
US$300 service payment at checkout delivery handling and shipping confirmed separately
+ For items a facility already confirmed it holds
+ Proxy pickup paperwork and coordination
+ Shipping options and restricted-item guidance
A known holder is not yet release approval. Some facilities only release items to the owner in person; we confirm the rules before collection or delivery.
Known holder → release and collection → physical delivery
From finding your item to getting it home
1 · Known holder
The facility confirms it holds a matching item. This is separate from approval to release it and may still require proof of ownership.
2 · Release and collection
The holder decides whether the owner, an authorized proxy, or a Japan-address delivery route is permitted. We coordinate only the route it approves.
3 · Physical delivery
After receipt, we photograph, check and pack the item, then you approve a separately quoted shipping option. Carrier timing, customs and delivery date follow a separate schedule.
Where each service ends: Search Service ends with the written result and release information. Full Service and Pickup & Delivery cover the agreed recovery coordination; carrier charges and delivery handling are confirmed separately. Cash, medicine, passports and other restricted items may need a different route or cannot be shipped internationally.
Common situations
Quick answers for your situation
I only need one hotel or shop checked. Which plan?
Choose Search: US$30 upfront and US$120 only if the item is confirmed with usable release instructions. The same price applies to a single-facility inquiry. Try the venue’s free official contact option first if it meets your needs.
Left something on a train, Shinkansen or subway?
Choose Search, or Full Service if you also need recovery arranged. Share the operator, route, travel time and any carriage or seat details. We help identify the relevant desk and follow a transfer to another holder.
Left it at an airport or on a flight?
Share the airport, terminal, flight and last place you saw it. The airline, airport, customs or police may hold it; we help identify the right desk. Finding it does not automatically mean it can be shipped.
Lost it in a taxi, or not sure where?
Send the receipt if available, pickup and drop-off times and places, payment details and your likely route. No receipt is required to ask for help, but incomplete details can limit the search.
The station or police already found it. Which plan?
Choose Pickup & Delivery and pay the US$300 service fee online. Share the holding desk and reference number if you have one. We confirm ownership, release rules and the permitted collection route; handling and shipping are quoted separately.
Already left Japan, or only need a forwarding address?
We can coordinate an approved proxy or Japan-address delivery route under Pickup & Delivery. Full Service includes the search first. Do not send anything to us until arrangements are confirmed. International shipping depends on the item and destination.
Can I start without a reference number or all the details?
Yes. Give what you know: what, where and when you lost it, contact details and any photos or identifying features. Include the lost-property reference if issued; do not invent one. We ask only for missing details needed to proceed and prepare collector details ourselves.
Can you recover a phone, passport, medicine or cash?
We can ask about the item and release rules. Passports, cash, medicine, batteries, liquids and other restricted goods may need owner collection or a permitted alternative. We confirm restrictions before collection or shipping; no recovery or shipment is guaranteed.
Refunds and follow-up
Before you pay: refunds and follow-up
What if it is found but cannot be released or returned?
If we cannot arrange the recovery outcome agreed for your plan, we refund all NativeCall service fees paid, including any balance, and charge no remainder. This includes refusal to release or no permitted return route. We offer alternatives only with your agreement. Already incurred, separately approved third-party costs are refundable only where the provider allows.
What counts as success before you ask for the balance?
A call, a possible match or a report alone is not success. For Search, we confirm the correct item and usable release instructions. For Full Service, we also confirm an agreed, permitted recovery route before requesting the balance. If that agreed recovery cannot be completed, our service-fee refund policy still applies.
What if the desk is closed or does not answer within 24 hours?
The 24-hour promise concerns the phone task and written result, not physical recovery. A closed or unanswered desk does not count as success. If the requested outcome is not achieved in that time, you can receive a full service-fee refund or agree to more follow-up at no extra service fee. We do not silently extend the deadline.
Are retries, callbacks and follow-up included?
Yes. Same-case clarification, retries, callbacks and coordination between relevant desks are included within the agreed task, with no per-call surcharge. We agree the next follow-up time with you and continue until the agreed work is completed or the case is closed and refunded. A new item or additional work requires your approval and a separate quote.

✓Station, taxi, airport, hotel, shop, or restaurant if the place is known.
✓If the item was on the street or may have been transferred, ask the relevant police lost-property office or koban. Native Call can make a routine enquiry for you.
✓Pickup, proxy, domestic shipping, or international forwarding only after release rules are clear.
Details that speed up the search
✓Date, time, route, station, flight, ride, or booking name.
✓Color, brand, contents, serial/IMEI, tracker location, photos, and reference numbers.
✓Your LINE, WhatsApp, or email so the operator can update you quickly.
How Native Call helps
Use official multilingual support first when sufficient. Within 24 hours of payment, we complete the phone-call task, including a human call to confirm the outcome or complete the task, and report back in writing. Routine lost-property enquiries to police offices are supported. If your requested outcome is not achieved, all upfront payments are refunded in full. Emergencies, crime reports, investigations, and other law-enforcement matters are excluded.
We complete the phone task and send the written result within 24 hours of payment. Physical collection and shipping follow the schedule agreed for your case.

To start
Choose the work you need
Tell us what you lost, where and when, and whether a facility has confirmed it. Search and Full Service start with US$30. For an already located item, choose Pickup & Delivery and pay the US$300 service fee online; we then confirm the permitted recovery route and separate delivery costs. You receive a Stripe payment receipt.
Case review
Case review
An operator maps the desks most likely to hold your item and messages you if anything key is missing.
Within 24 hours
A real person calls in Japanese
Within 24 hours of payment, a real person calls the likely desks in Japanese and sends you the result in writing.
As agreed
Follow-ups and transfers
If further follow-up is useful, we agree the next step with you. An unsuccessful task receives a full refund; a report alone does not count as success.
If found
Confirm the item, release rules and balance
The holding facility decides how it can release the item. We confirm the available route and explain the remaining service fee and any delivery quote. You provide the ownership details or authorization the facility requires and approve the next step.
After release approval
Collection or delivery to our Japan address
For Full Service or Pickup & Delivery, we arrange permitted proxy collection or ask the facility to send the item to our Japan address. Search Service ends with the search result and next-step information; collection is a separate service.
After receipt
Check, photograph and pack
Once the item reaches us, we photograph it and check its contents with you. We confirm what can be shipped, the delivery address and costs before packing and arranging international dispatch. Some items require a different collection plan.
After dispatch
Tracking and delivery
We share the shipment tracking number and follow its delivery status. The carrier handles transport; the agreed estimate depends on release, the route and customs. The 24-hour phone-task deadline does not mean physical delivery within 24 hours.
If not found
Honest close
You get a written result and a full refund of upfront payments, including the initial US$30. No service fee or remainder is charged.
04/The details
Clean details make fast calls
The more specific your details, the faster an operator can confirm the item, the proof needed, and whether pickup or shipping is possible.

When do I pay, and is the app price the same?
Yes. Search: US$30 now + US$120 if successful (US$150 total). Full Service: US$30 now + US$370 if successful (US$400 total). Pickup & Delivery: US$300 now. The app opens the same online form and Stripe checkout. Handling, carrier charges and customs costs are separate and require your agreement.
What if it is found but cannot be released or returned?
If we cannot arrange the recovery outcome agreed for your plan, we refund all NativeCall service fees paid, including any balance, and charge no remainder. This includes refusal to release or no permitted return route. We offer alternatives only with your agreement. A new item or additional work requires your approval and a separate quote.
Who calls, and when can I get a callback?
Every task includes a call from a real Japanese-speaking person. Customer callback hours are 09:00–24:00 Japan time; facility calls follow the desk’s opening hours. We report in English, Japanese, Cantonese or Mandarin through your chosen contact channel.
What if the item is not found?
All NativeCall service fees paid are refunded, including the initial US$30. No success balance is due. We explain the checks made and any useful next steps; an unsuccessful report is not a paid success.
What is included in pickup and delivery?
We coordinate the agreed release and collection route. For items we receive, we photograph and check them with you, arrange packing and dispatch, share tracking and follow delivery status. Handling and transport are quoted before you approve them. Carrier transit, customs and delivery dates follow a separate schedule.
Do I need to fill out the collector’s paperwork?
We prepare collector details and help with the forms. You provide the owner information, proof of ownership and signed authorization the holder requires. The holder decides whether a proxy is allowed; we cannot sign the owner’s consent for you.
Can you meet a flight or storage deadline?
Tell us the exact deadline before starting. We check feasibility with the holder, but cannot promise collection before a flight or expiry. If the agreed deadline cannot be met, the service-fee refund policy applies. Emergency or crime reports must go directly to official services.
What if online payment fails?
Check the selected plan and amount, then retry Stripe checkout if no payment completed. If you were charged or are unsure, do not pay twice: contact nativecallapp@gmail.com with your request email and error message. Never send card details. We can help reconcile the payment and provide a suitable checkout link.
